Anyone got this yet? I'm seriously about to buy it. Mainly for still photography though. It can shoot 3k HD with a full-frame chip. Lot's of big drawbacks to it's video like only being able to do 30p and no manual adjustment of the aperture apparently. Hopefully they can fix this with firmware. I read the thing about the aperture on bhphotovideo's product reviews.

I'm wondering if that means you can't use lenses not equipped for digital? Also would only shoot video for web, so the 30p wouldn't be much of an issue.

Just wondering if anyone else has one of these and what they think of it.

zackmctee - Obviously, by now you know there's a firmware update for this that allows manual control. Something you may not know is that in the new year there will be 24p coming to this camera. An official announcement has been made by canon: http://www.canon.co.uk/About_Us/Press_Centre/Press_Releases/Consumer_News/Cameras_Accessories/EOS_5D_MarkII_Media_Alert.asp

Larry Farkas - Many of the 5D's aperture issues can be resoved by using the "meter lock" feature.
Currently, I have made custom mounts for this camera and an adapter for the Anton Bauer Gold Mount battery system.
Email or call for more info. I can also recycle your old kit gear for the 5D.
