Crewplay.com is a new social networking site dedicated to the people who make up the ever growing film industry
This site is designed so all of us can stay connected and keep our bills paid. I believe it is very important for us all to stay connected. We, are the future of Hollywood, we believe in what we do. I look foreword to hearing from you all! For some of you, we haven't talked in awhile, and for others, we have never met before, or I just finished teaching you how to use Avid. No matter the case - we will now stay connected and there's no excuse. I am really glad to see you all here, even all the sound guys...
In order to get real - one must act real.
No one on this site has any problem, or struggles with being creative, that comes naturally to all of us. The struggle arises when you ask yourself, "OK, so how do I turn my creativity, or my passion into a living?"
Well, I hope crewplay.com can serve as a tool to bridge that gap. I believe that if we all stay connected, and trade our egos in for an appreciation of others and their art - we can all have food in our bellies, bills paid, and enough money to have a drink with the crew after a long day on set.
Strength in numbers - We are all in the same boat.
Ben Watkins - Kyle is currently very busy. He has created a TV show that is being shot right now and will soon air on Comedy Central. It's called Workaholics. When he and I met, we didn't know shit about this game. I had a 5Ton truck with some gear on the floor. He was a grip. Jaymes Wheeler was my Best Boy, which was fine. Jaymes is a titan of a man. We pioneered a points based system for mobilizing account managers at Overture. The effect was $$$ by the truckload.

I moved to VN soon after graduating and am working on my 2nd feature as Prod.Snd.Mixr. I'm literally on set during our lunch. My connections out here go quite high and am working with the major studio's for films that MIGHT go international. Say that, I AM in Vietnam and the industry standard out here is pretty low."King in hell..rather than slave in Heaven" type of thing I guess. Might head back to States after this cause I'm kinda over working with these seriously inhumane conditions. Or might get into tele with some new companies out here. Who know's. How goes it with you?

Right now I am working on An American Carol with Dennis Hopper, Paris Hilton, Kevin Farley, Kelsey Grammar, Dirt Nasty, and a few others. Its been so much fun on set.
